Seton Hall celebrates its 10th annual Relay for Life on Friday, April 15, in the Richie Regan Recreation Center from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Join your fellow Pirates for food, fun, entertainment, music, ceremonies, and some laps around the field house. Sponsored by Colleges Against Cancer, Relay for Life honors those who have battled cancer, while contributing to the fight against the disease.
The event is open to students, friends, family, and the public, drawing nearly 1,000 participants. Relay organizers hope to raise $50,000; last year's event brought in over $45,000.
Stillman School senior Nicole DeRuggiero, is president of Seton Hall's Colleges Against Cancer. She commented that, "The students put amazing work into this fundraiser every year and show a real commitment to getting more people involved in the fight against cancer."
Colleges Against Cancer at Seton Hall University has raised more than $500,000 for the fight against cancer. The club works diligently to raise awareness among the student body about cancer. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world's largest and most impactful fundraising event focused on ending cancer.
