It’s Always the Right Time to Pray

Prayers for UkraineThey say it's never too late to talk.
They say it's always too soon to fight.
Maybe.
But one thing is for sure:
It's always the right time to pray.

Like people all over the world, our University community is reacting with sorrow, frustration and concern as we witness the conflict unfolding in Ukraine.

As always, we look to our Catholic faith for solace and guidance. Last night across our social media channels, we echoed the call of Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., archbishop of Newark, inviting the Seton Hall community to pray for the people of Ukraine. And in the words of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, we encourage believers and non-believers alike to make March 2, Ash Wednesday, a Day of Fasting for Peace.

Seton Hall is always concerned with the emotional well-being of everyone in our University community, and especially so during challenging moments like this. We encourage anyone who needs support or simply someone to talk with to reach out to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at (973) 761-9500. Campus Ministry is likewise available at (973) 761-9545.

In Christ,

Father Colin
