Manina Urgolo Huckvale, Ed.D., Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Education and Human Services, Seton Hall University, is the new president of the New Jersey Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (NJACTE) for the 2011-2013 term.
NJACTE’s work is focused on the preparation and professional development of teachers and educational leaders in the State of New Jersey. Its purpose is to promote the learning of all PK-12 students through the high-quality, evidence-based preparation and continuing education of teachers and teacher leaders. NJACTE provides an effective voice for teacher education at the state level on matters of policy related to teacher education, education leadership and advanced study in education. Regionally accredited baccalaureate or graduate colleges and universities which have nationally accredited (NCATE or TEAC) teacher education and/or educational leadership programs in New Jersey are eligible for membership in NJACTE.
