Seton Hall > News & Events

Career Center Student Advisory BoardIn September, The Career Center created a Student Advisory Board to provide the “students’ perspective” and help with new initiatives. The Board has met several times and has generated ideas for increasing student participation in career events, workshops and Career Center services.

This semester the Student Advisory Board will launch a pilot “Refer-a-Buddy” program. Students who bring friends to career programs and encourage them to meet with a career advisor will be eligible to win Pirate Gold.

The Refer-a-Buddy program will be further explained on Tuesday, January 28, between 5 and 7 p.m. at the 2014 “Meet the Marketing Firms” networking event. Employer representatives and alumni will be at the event to share their expertise and offer advice. Participants include professionals with backgrounds in marketing, public relations, finance and communication. Students from all majors are encouraged to attend this networking event

*Career Center events are open only to Seton Hall University students and alumni.
