Buccino Leadership Institute Welcomes New Associate Director  

Seton Hall University and its prestigious Buccino Leadership Institute are pleased to announce the arrival of Ruchin Kansal, MBA, as its newest member of the team. Kansal became the new associate director in the Stillman School of Business on July 1.

"We couldn't be more excited for Ruchin to join our team and to continue our important work in developing the next generation of leaders at Seton Hall," said Bryan Price, Ph.D., executive director of the Buccino Leadership Institute. "His professional background in the business world, thought leadership, and passion for helping young leaders will add immediate value to our team."

Kansal will be taking over for Michael Reuter, whose selfless service in leadership development at Seton Hall dates back to 2007 and who paved the way for the program's expansion across the University in 2018.

Kansal comes to Seton Hall with a distinguished professional career in the business world. He is the founder of Kansal & Company, LLC, which has focused on helping individuals and companies reach their leadership potential.

Prior to that, Kansal served as the senior vice president and global head of strategy for digital services at Siemens Healthineers, and head of business innovation and transformation at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Additionally, Ruchin spent 12 years at Deloitte and Capgemini/Ernst & Young, in roles centered on growth strategy, business and product launch, market access and pricing, commercial model transformation, and post-merger integration.

Joyce Strawser, dean of the Stillman School of Business, is eager for Kansal to join the ranks in Jubilee Hall.

Price said Kansal brings unique tools that will help elevate the program moving forward. For example, Kansal is in the process of completing his training with Brown University to become a certified leadership coach. This will allow more contact with student leaders and make a great coaching program, one that was featured in Forbes magazine last year, even better.

Additionally, Price said Kansal will help the Institute publish research to become a thought leader in the field. "We're excited to start sharing the innovative techniques and activities we're using to develop interdisciplinary leaders in a number of fields, and Ruchin's already doing this in his current research and thought leadership."

Despite taking over during such a challenging time, Kansal said he's up for the task. "This role is an exciting pivot for me. I went from being an Air Force cadet to an architect to a healthcare management consultant to a best-selling author to a senior vice president in one of the world's largest medical technology companies. Now it's time to develop the future leaders of the world, coach current leaders to lead with courage, and shape the future."

With Kansal joining an already strong team of faculty at the Buccino Leadership Institute, the future looks bright indeed.
