What Great Minds Can Do: Sarah Adam
Sarah Adam
B.S.E., Elementary and Special Ed/M.S., Speech Language Pathology major
Bridgewater, New Jersey
"I am very fortunate to be a part of the Buccino Institute Leadership Program here at Seton Hall. All the faculty are encouraging and supportive of every student, no matter which cohort they are a part of for their major. I am excited to learn from them and for the opportunities this program will bring me. I hope to pursue my passion for helping others in my career."
Adam is very close to her family and has a twin sister who is currently studying at RPI. Adam was a varsity swimmer for 4 years, NHS president, part of student council and has a passion for service and working with others with disabilities. Last summer she went to Appalachia, WV, on a mission trip to build houses for those in need. She also volunteered for Saturdays in Motion while in high school for children with autism.
Adam is a part of the Buccino Leadership program here at Seton Hall and believes that "in everyday life, one needs to lead others, and I am motivated to improve my leadership skills." She looks forward to working with deans and students from other concentrations, and using her skills of communication, responsibility, and creativity in her future career as a speech pathologist.
She is currently a member of Pirates for Life, American Sign Language Club, and an active member of DOVE. She is a writer for Campus Ministry's Heart of the Hall publication. She is excited to begin student teaching and plans to work with elementary school students to make a positive impact in their lives.
