What Great Minds Can Do: Gregory Deyesu

Throughout the challenges of his life, Gregory Deyesu has managed to stay motivated by sticking to one notion: “Hard work pays off”. This notion is the reason why Gregory Deyesu left his hometown of Bel Air, Maryland to study business at Seton Hall University. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and is a part of the business cohort of the Buccino Leadership Institute.
Raised by a single mother, Gregory quickly learned that slacking off was not an option. This is where the notion of hard work was instilled. By the time he was in high school, Gregory was definitely not a slacker. Throughout his high career, Gregory was the president of Mock Trial, the vice-president of the Latin Honors Society, a McMullen Honors Scholar, and a Peer Educator all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. These opportunities allowed Gregory to build his leadership skills and understanding the meaning of hard work at an early age.
Gregory chose to attend Seton Hall because its fantastic programs both in and out of the classroom. As an aspiring lawyer, Seton Hall’s 3+3 Business and Law program provides him with the exact opportunities he needs to jumpstart his career. Additionally, Seton Hall’s #1 ranked Business Leadership Program will help expand his skills outside of the classroom. This combination of resources will make him a well-rounded applicant when looking for job placement.
Gregory wanted to be a part of the leadership program because it gives him the opportunity to perfect his soft skills, meet new people, and access additional resources. Gregory hopes to take advantage of every opportunity that comes his way, whether that be gaining real-world experience and learning from program workshops. Leadership is ongoing learning experience, and Gregory wants to be a continuous learner.
