The University Center is the one building on campus dedicated to the whole student: undergraduate and graduate, resident and commuter. It was built in 1962 and has never undergone a major renovation. Until now.

In summer 2021 we started tearing down walls, ripping up floors and rejuvenating over 48,000 square feet of student-dedicated space that will completely transform the Seton Hall experience.

Help us build this critical resource for the 21st-century Pirate!

We're adding seats, installing technology, adding more natural light and increasing the flow within and through the building. We’re making way for gaming, a pool table, ping pong, a media studio and a prayer and meditation room. We’re refurbishing the 176-seat theatre, bringing in Jersey Mike's and Starbucks, adding a fireplace, art gallery and al fresco dining. 

Outside, students will enjoy team-building exercises around a fire pit, performances in a grassy amphitheater or quiet reflection in a community garden featuring a beautiful Marian mosaic. We're improving access, adding elevators and ramps and keeping the building open 24/7 so students can study and socialize safely late at night.

It's not about the building—it's about what will happen in and around the building.

The University Center is a place where friendships are made, games are played and meals shared. It is a place where the learning continues, hosting speakers, conferences and panels with industry experts. It is a place of inspiration and autonomy where students create new ideas of their own. It is a place for spiritual growth, rejuvenation and service to others.

This project will transform the look and feel of campus, and it will transform the student experience.

We have completed Phase I and need your help to realize the vision for Phase II. Gifts of $25,000 and more will be acknowledged on our Donor Wall inside the building, and there are naming opportunities available.
