Open Enrollment Dates: October 28 – November 15, 2019

Open enrollment begins Monday, October 28 and will end on Friday, November 15, 2019. The benefit elections you make during Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2020.

During Open Enrollment, you can:

  • Make changes to, or enroll, in Medical and Dental benefits. If you have no changes, your benefits will continue as is; please see information below regarding our new Dental provider, Delta Dental.
  • Enroll or re-enroll in healthcare and/or dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). If you do not wish to participate in FSA for 2020, you do not need to take any action.

2019 Benefit Plan Highlights:

  • New Medical and Dental rates
  • Adult hearing aids:
    • Unlimited dollar maximum per device
    • Maximum of 2 devices (one per ear) per 24 months
    • Includes testing and fitting of hearing aid devices at Physician Office Visit cost share
  • Acupuncture benefit (based on medical necessity)
    • Maximum 60 days per year
  • Dental benefits will now be administered through Delta Dental.
    • Carry over max benefit – 25% of unused maximums can carry over each year until two times maximum is reached.
    • Oral Health Enhancement – 4 cleanings per year for periodontal patients
    • Orthodontic coverage for dependents increased to age 26.
       
    • If you are currently enrolled in a Cigna dental plan, you will be enrolled in the equivalent Delta Dental plan.
    • For those who participate in the Cigna DHMO, you will be provided a primary dentist in the Delta Care USA – DHMO plan based upon your home zip code. You will be able to change the dentist provided on January 1, 2020.
  • All benefit eligible employees, who wish to enroll or make changes, must complete their open enrollment benefits elections online via Banner Self-Service. An instructional video, written instructions and a flowchart are available to assist you in processing your elections.

    Open Enrollment Fairs

    Open enrollment fairs have been scheduled so that you can come and speak directly with our plan representatives. There will be massage chairs available (first come, first serve). Smoothie bar also available (while supplies last).

    Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Location: Winter Garden

    South Orange Campus
    Date: Tuesday, November 5
    Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Location: Chancellor's Suite

    Law School Campus
    Date: Tuesday, November 12
    Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Location: Faculty Library, 5th Floor
