Video Produced by Athletic Training Students Wins Top Prize in ATSNJ Contest

Congratulations to the M.S. in Athletic Training students for receiving top honors in a video contest sponsored by the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey. "Compassionate Care for All" is the theme of the video, which was created, produced and directed entirely by Seton Hall MSAT students.

Current student Taylor Beam talked about their approach to creating the video:

Athletic Training

"Athletic Training is a growing profession in health care. The scope of practice of the profession is changing, which allows athletic trainers to treat many different populations. We chose occupations like business and construction fields because we're being recognized as injury prevention specialists and many other names." Beam refers to the portrayals in the video of athletic trainers working to help "non-athletes" in the video.

Beam continues: "The term 'athletic trainer' won't always be associated with sport-specific injury problems. The M.S. in Athletic Training program at Seton Hall University's School of Health and Medical Sciences wants everyone to know we aren't just about athletics, but we are professional clinicians who are geared toward patient-centered care, and we have 'Compassionate Care for All.'"
