Campuses Reopening, CampusClear and Vaccination Levels  

As noted in previous HICT updates, we continue to reopen our campuses consistent with State of New Jersey guidance. Fully vaccinated individuals may wear a mask if they choose. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask indoors. Enforcement is via the honor code.

Discontinuation of #CampusClear App

As a result of the University community's high vaccination rates, low transmission rate, and high level of adherence to the Seton Hall Pledge we are discontinuing use of the #CampusClear app, effective June 18, 2021. We are prepared to reinstitute use of the app if needed. Employees with questions regarding illness and absences should refer to the Earned Sick Leave policy or contact Human Resources. Thank you to all who diligently conducted and reported a daily health screening.

University Vaccination Levels

Governor Murphy noted the State's reopening is partly due to the high vaccination levels (approximately 60%) among the state's adult population with a goal of having 70% fully vaccinated by June 30. Through the recently-released Confidential Vaccine Declaration the University is gaining a clear picture of vaccination levels across its populations.

As of June 15, 2021: Notice of the declaration requirement was sent to 13,232 individuals. 85.8% of the recipients responded. Almost sixty-four percent (63.7%) report being fully vaccinated. Nine percent (9%) report having received the first of two injections. Almost fifteen percent (14.8%) plan to get vaccinated. Approximately twelve percent (12.5%) report they will be seeking an exemption. We will continue to update you on the declaration. Please remember it is imperative and required that you complete the declaration. Thank you to all who have already done so.

The State Department of Health provides a full array of vaccine and vaccination-related information, some of it in multiple languages. Please check it out and share it with those you know who have concerns about being vaccinated.
