Interfraternity Council (IFC)

Alpha Chi Rho

The chapter of AXP has a purpose of enhancing the lifelong intellectual, moral, and social development of its members through the guidance of its Landmarks; those Landmarks being membership from those who are prepared to realize the Brotherhood of all men, the insistence on a high and clean moral standard, the paramount duty of brotherly love among members, and judgment not by externals but by intrinsic worth.

Alpha Sigma Phi

Founded on the values of Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism, the Zeta Alpha chapter of AΣΦ seeks those who demonstrate the characteristics of what it means to be a Gentleman and a Scholar. Their philanthropies consist of the R.A.I.N.N., Humane Society, Aware Awake Alive, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and Homes For Our Troops and their colors are cardinal and stone.

Delta Upsilon

Founded at Seton Hall in spring 2018, Delta Upsilon ΔY is not your typical fraternity. Our non-secret heritage and our dedication to creating a modern fraternity experience help us in Building Better Men.

Phi Delta Theta

The Brothers of Phi Delta Theta are brought together by their three cardinal principles, friendship, moral rectitude, and sound learning. Through these influences, ΦΔΘ NJ Gamma chapter creates opportunities to becoming the greatest version of yourself. Phi Delta Theta's philanthropic energies go towards the ALS Association; their colors are azure and argent."

Phi Gamma Delta
Founded on the values of friendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence, the newly established chapter seeks those who demonstrate these core values. Their motto, "Friendship, the sweetest influence" and their philanthropy connections with the Red Cross continues to drive these members for excellence.

Phi Kappa Theta

The Phi Beta Chapter of ΦKΘ is the oldest fraternity on campus. "Phi Kaps" are brought together through four values: fraternal: duty to man, intellectual: duty to self and parents, social: duty to society, and spiritual: duty towards God. Their philanthropy is The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which provides funding for Children's Hospitals around the country. With the largest alumni network, brothers stay together long after graduation. Their colors are white, gold, and cardinal purple.

Pi Kappa Phi

Pi Kappa Phi ΠKΦ was founded on the premise of creating leadership opportunities for our members. Our founders exemplified leadership in the classroom, on the athletic field, in campus politics and within the community of Charleston. Leadership is the very root of our organization, and it is the concept of leadership that shall guide us to our future.

Lambda Theta Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Dormant

The Epsilon chapter of ΛΘΦ, known as "the lambdas," emphasizes Latin unity and the celebration of Latin culture. Their philanthropic focus is on the American Heart Association. Their motto is "chivalry above self," and their colors are brown and white.

Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Inc.

The Almirantes chapter of ΛΣY, is a brotherhood of diverse, knowledgeable men who believe in the advancement of individual growth, social justice, equal opportunity, and excellence in education. Their national philanthropy is supporting and promoting research and awareness for both HIV and AIDS. Their colors are baby blue and white.

Psi Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Dormant

The Gamma chapter of ΨΣΦ has an emphasis on multiculturalism and service and has a philanthropy of the Kidney and Urology Foundation. Their goal is to establish a unique bond among men of different cultures through hard work, sacrifice, and courage from all brothers. Their colors are black, silver, and white.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

The Phi Eta chapter of AΦA, known as "The Alphas", is a brotherhood of elite, ambitious, and driven individuals from all backgrounds. AΦA is dedicated to the transcendence of the individual and its communities. Theirr objectives consist of stimulating the ambition of its members, preparing them for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity, freedom and dignity of the individual, and encouraging the highest and noblest form of the manhood. Their colors are black and old gold.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated is a historically African American Greek-letter fraternity founded on January 5, 1911, at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The fraternity was established by 10 college students, led by Elder Watson Diggs, with the aim of creating a fraternal organization that would promote academic achievement, community service, and social responsibility. The fraternity is dedicated to the principles of achievement in every field of human endeavor, and members are encouraged to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. Kappa Alpha Psi is known for its distinctive colors of crimson and cream, as well as its motto, "Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor."

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

The Alpha Nu Alpha chapter of ΦBΣ, known as "The Sigmas", exemplifies the ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service while taking an inclusive perspective to serving the community as opposed to having an exclusive purpose. They are the only fraternity to hold a constitutional bond with a predominantly African-American sorority, ZΦB. Their colors are royal blue and pure white.

Unrecognized Groups

We strongly discourage student participation in unrecognized groups, as the university does not provide any form of support, oversight, and advisement for their members. Also, since these groups often lack national affiliation, they may not have liability insurance, or oversight policies for risk management, hazing or sexual harassment. Therefore, if one of these chapters would experience a civil lawsuit, a member of that group might be held directly liable by a complainant, exposing himself/herself and their family members to unneeded risk. Furthermore, many times national organizations of these unrecognized groups choose not to acknowledge the University's concerns or to take action against their chapters. Students who choose to become members of these unrecognized groups may not obtain all of the benefits available to those who join a recognized fraternity or sorority. - Adopted from The George Washington University
