Headshot of Victor GomezSeton Hall University Esports is proud to announce that Victor Gomez, MBA, esports manager has been invited to speak on the "Inclusivity and Representation in Esports and Gaming" panel at the Campus Takeover hosted by McDonald’s Gaming DMV and Gen.G Esports. The event will take place on Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.

The Campus Takeover is a premier event that brings together students, industry leaders and community partners from across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The two-day experience will showcase competitive gaming, networking opportunities and panel discussions highlighting the growing role of esports in higher education and professional development.

The invitation for Seton Hall to join the panel underscores the University’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and accessible environment through its Esports program. The panel will bring together voices from across the collegiate and professional landscape to discuss pathways for greater representation, dismantling barriers and building a sustainable esports ecosystem.

"Esports is at its best when it embraces the diversity of the communities that created it," said Gomez, who played a critical role in establishing Seton Hall’s Esports program in 2013. "Our program has always placed student success and growth at the forefront and we are honored to share our perspective on how universities can continue to lead the way in promoting equity and inclusion."

"Victor has consistently been a champion of inclusion in esports, ensuring that opportunities within the space are accessible to all," said Yugina Yun, assistant director of operations at Gen.G. "We are proud to call him a valued partner of Gen.G and look forward to the impact his voice will bring to Campus Takeover."

As Seton Hall Esports continues to build champions in the Big East and beyond, the program remains equally focused on fostering an inclusive community that prepares students for success in competition, academics and future careers.
