Associate School Library Media (ASLM) Certification
Candidates in the M.A., Instructional Design and Technology Program with a specialization in School Library Media Specialist program may apply for Associate School Library Media (ASLM) Certification after they have completed the appropriate sequence of online courses listed below. ASLM's are eligible for full employment as school library media specialists while they complete their MA degree.
The ASLM certificate program contains two tracks:
- Track 1 - 18 credits for candidates with a standard NJ instructional certificate
- Track 2 - 27 credits for candidates without a standard NJ instructional certificate
Both tracks utilize required online courses from our M.A. program (18 credits).
Track 1: ASLM Candidates with a Standard New Jersey Instructional Certificate (18 Credits)
