Admissions: Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing

Seton Hall only runs one CEAS cohort per year. Each new cohort begins in the summer. Formal admission to graduate studies is necessary to enter the CEAS program. Applicants must submit the following materials:

  • One copy of all official transcripts conferring completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; Seton Hall University offers a special program to make up for an unsatisfactory GPA
  • 15 to 30 credits are required for secondary specialty areas; 60 liberal arts credits required for K-5 teachers 
  • A GRE score in the top 33% range or a passing score on the Praxis Academic Core Battery Exam
  • A resume 
  • A personal statement of goals
  • A structured interview
