About The Center

The Center for Learning, Instruction & Assessment (CLIA), referred to as "The Learning Center," offers innovative support services to EOP students in an appropriate and interactive environment.

College activities and career opportunities in today's changing world of work require that students understand their potentials and challenges. The Center provides students with successful academic experiences by identifying problem areas and offering consultations, tutoring, and structured study.

At CLIA, we know that the key to overcoming academic difficulties lies both in recognizing the strengths and challenges with which a student enters college and in addressing the academic deficits that can impede success. The success of this approach requires an environment where each student receives appropriate attention.

CLIA is primarily a comfortable environment, geared toward helping each student who walks through our doors. Our services cover a wide range of University courses, and we are dedicated to ensuring that all our students become independent learners.

Services Offered:

  • Diagnostic Testing and Evaluation
  • Experimental Academic Courses
  • Tutoring
  • Structured Study
  • Educational Enrichment
  • College Success Workshops

Location/Hours of Operations

The Center for Learning, Instruction & Assessment is located in Alfieri Hall (Lower Level). We are open from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.—6 p.m.
