As of Fall 2018, Bryan Meadows, Ph.D. faculty member in the Department of Educational Studies will be serving on an NJDOE state-wide advisory committee. Dr. Meadows was invited to, and has accepted, a two-year position on the New Jersey State Advisory Committee for Bilingual Education. He will serve 2018 - 2020. The committee meets every other month during the school year at the NJDOE main office in Trenton.
From the NJDOE: "The State Advisory Committee is primarily responsible for assisting the NJDOE in the formulation of policies and procedures related to the provision of services for English language learners."
The committee is made up of NJDOE specialists, school administrators, teacher practitioners, teacher educators, and community members.
The first committee meeting of the 2018-2019 academic year is scheduled for Wednesday, October 10th.
