DOVE Online Weekly Programs

Achieve Tutoring

University Life Service Points: 1 points each tutoring session 
Program timing: Flexible depending on volunteer availability 
Population: Students grate K-8 and high school 
Description: Choose a grade and help tutor students over Zoom in the South Orange school district and aid them with their online homework. This program is consistent each week and volunteers are expected to return for this semester long commitment.

Pillar Care Pals

University Life Service Points: 1 point each meeting 
Tuesdays 1-2:00 p.m.
Population: Developmentally disabled adults 
Connect over Zoom with homebound individuals to spend time together and build relationships. Activities will include facilitating games and arm stretches to keep everyone involved!

Teen Xchange 

University Life Service Points: 1 point each meeting 
Thursdays 3–5 p.m.
Population: Middle school students 
Description: Meet with South Orange middle school students on Zoom. Help with homework, play games and build relationships to mentor students This program is consistent each week and volunteers are expected to return for this semester long commitment.

University Life Service Points: 1 point each story time 
Fridays 9:45-11 a.m.
Population: Babies and Nursery School Children 
Description: Host a virtual story time for young children. Sing and read with them your favorite childhood books!

DOVE Monthly Programs

DOVE Mission Nights (Distanced, in person)

University Life Service Points: 1 point for participation and fundraising 
Tuesdays 8-9 p.m. – Begin: September 2nd / End: November 17th 
Join DOVE to connect in solidarity with one another through informal conversation, reflection, and community during these unique times. All students MUST register as there is a maximum capacity in the Campus Ministry Lounge
