Board of Advisors: Tasia Filippatos

Vice President, Communications for Disney Consumer Products

Ms. Tasia Filippatos is Vice President, Communications for Disney Consumer Products (DCP). She provides leadership across all of DCP's businesses on media relations, executive engagement, social media, employee communications, corporate responsibility and licensee and retailer engagement. She develops strategies to positively position DCP with all stakeholders including the press, key business partners and consumers. She works to ensure that DCP maintains a culture of excellence and transparency. Ms. Filippatos joins DCP from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, where since 2008 she has served as vice president, Worldwide External Communications. In that capacity, she oversaw all aspects of external communications including integrated communication planning, executive communications, media relations and crisis communications for the division's five theme park resorts around the world, Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney. Prior to joining Disney, Tasia was based in Washington, DC as director of Public Affairs for the Department of Justice, where she was the top media advisor to the Attorney General. Earlier, she served as deputy assistant secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, and as a spokesperson for the Department of the Treasury. Tasia is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
