Select Students visit CNBC

CNBCIn the fall of 2015, CNBC hosted 32 Seton Hall students at their Headquarters Complex in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The students were taken on a tour of the complex, which included a stop at the "Breaking News Desk", and a visit to the Control Room. Students had the unique opportunity to learn about the organization, the role of each department and, specifically, what hiring managers are looking for in candidates.

Following the tour, students were able to participate in "speed interview" sessions with hiring managers from nine different departments, including CNBC Long Form,, CNBC Social Media, and CNBC Mad Money. A Seton Hall alumna, and current SHU intern were on hand to share their experiences at the company, and offer advice.

"The hiring event that was held at CNBC Global Headquarters in partnership with Seton Hall's Career Center was a tremendous success. CNBC hired nine students who are now working throughout our organization and learning not only about the ever-evolving news industry, but also the fundamentals of how to cover news stories and events." Ryan Ruggiero, Sr. Assignment Desk Manager

The Career Center looks forward to hosting the employer at upcoming events on campus.
