Fratelli Tutti – All Brothers, Pope Francis' New Encyclical: Seton Hall University Expert Panel  

On Saturday, October 3, Pope Francis traveled to Assisi to the tomb of St. Francis to pray and sign his new encyclical Fratelli Tutti – All Brothers. The following day, on Sunday, October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Pope Francis' encyclical on human fraternity and social friendship was released to the world.

On Monday, October 19, 2020, Seton Hall University Catholic Studies Program and Center, the Department of Religion, the Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, the Institute for Communication and Religion and the University Core will present an experts' panel on the themes of the new encyclical focusing on Pope Francis' call to recognize that we are all brothers and sisters. A panel of distinguished Seton Hall faculty will present, from an inter-disciplinary perspective, on the main themes of the encyclical. Topics will range from why Francis choose this time to release the encyclical; why did he choose the topic of friendship; particular applications of the encyclical in the United States and other topics.
