Double-Major and Minor in Catholic Studies

In addition to offering a major in Catholic Studies, our program also allows students the option to pursue a double-major or minor that complements and enhances the University's other degree programs and fields of study.

Double-Major in Catholic Studies Requirements

  • At most 12 credits will be accepted/counted from another program, your first major.
  • At least 18 credits must be taken as distinct CAST upper level courses under the CAST program designation including the Capstone Seminar, for a second major in Catholic Studies.

Minor in Catholic Studies Requirements

  • At least 9 credits must be taken as distinct CAST upper level courses under the CAST program designation for a minor in Catholic Studies

Please note all Honor's Program Colloquia will be accepted/counted towards your Catholic Studies degree for either a major or minor in Catholic Studies.

Contact Dr. Ines A. Murzaku, Director of Catholic Studies Program at [email protected] or (973)-275-5845 for planning your second degree. We will tailor your second major or minor, with courses that will enhance your first major. Result: you will finish college with more than one degree.
