At Seton Hall's Fall Career Fair, she met a recruiter from The Children's Place, which resulted in an internship offer for the summer of 2019. As an intern, Emily served as the liaison between the design team and the merchandising team, which included negotiating costs with vendors overseas.

"My academic major is important because it teaches me how to use my voice effectively, with regard to my passion. I am always looking for ways to improve the fashion industry, socially and environmentally. In order to do this, it's important to listen to the public, think outside the box and challenge the norms and stereotypes the industry has set. This is where PR intersects with fashion for me".

On campus, Emily is involved in the Student Alumni Association, where she serves as Vice President for Communications and Recruitment. She is also the President of PRSSA and liaison between the Seton Hall Chapter and the PRSA Regional Chapter.
