Current students and alumni will have an opportunity to explore potential internships and entry or mid-level positions with over 125 employers when the Career Center hosts its first career fair of the fall semester.
Representatives from a broad range of industries will be on hand to answer questions, provide career guidance and give attendees an invaluable opportunity to make a great first impression that could lead to the next step in their professional goals.
Select industries include areas of finance, marketing, entertainment, consumer goods, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, state government, information technology, non-profit and many more.
Employers are looking for students from all majors, and all class years are welcome.
"While recruiters will be looking to hire interns and higher level alumni, they also want to connect with freshmen and sophomores to start to build their talent pool for the future," said Reesa Greenwald, director of The Career Center.
Prior to the Career Fair, students are encouraged to speak with a career advisor to have their resumes critiqued as well as get tips on effective networking. Pirate Mentors will also be available on the day of the Fair to answer questions and provide guidance on how best to navigate the room and locate employers of interest.
Students should dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes.
