On October 18th, 2016, the Micah Center for Business Ethics, within the Stillman School of Business, hosted Mr. Timothy Busch, the Keynote Speaker, as part of the Micah Center's "Breakfast Series."
The purpose
of the "Breakfast Series" is to inform faculty, alumni, students, and
guests about Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Social Thought. Mr.
Busch is a prominent accountant, attorney, and businessman that spoke
about "Business, Commitment, and the Principles of Catholic
Stewardship." Mr. Busch discussed the idea that no job is worth more
than another; the CEO's job is as important as the receptionist'. This
is just one of the many aspects of Catholic Social Teaching that Mr.
Busch applies to his everyday life as a CEO.
In addition to this,
charity is a pillar of Mr. Busch's life and he strongly believes in
giving back to your family, employees, society, etc. The Stillman
School of Business, in conjunction with the Micah Center for Business
Ethics, hopes to continue to spread and integrate Catholic Social
Teaching and Catholic Social Thought into the traditional educational
system.
