Maria Macuare is the third and final speaker taking part in the Stillman School's Distinguished Lecture Series in Business Analytics. Macuare has nearly 20 years of experience in the analytics field and is the current vice president, data and analytics, at Campbell Soup Company – a multi-national food company with annual sales of approximately $8.7 billion.
Macuare's presentation titled, "An Unconventional Path to Data Science," will teach the combination of factors determining success in a data science profession and growth from being a single contributor knee-deep in analytics to delivering solutions at scale for Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods companies. During the lecture she will incorporate her extensive knowledge of analytical strategy and vision, predictive analytics, as well as optimization visualizations and storytelling.

Before serving as the vice president, Data and Analytics, at Campbell Soup Company, Macuare held senior leadership positions at Procter & Gamble as the North America Data Science Leader, the Latin America Business Intelligence Leader, and the Greater China Business Analysis Leader. These positions lead to a number of international assignments including in Venezuela, Japan, China and Panama.
Macuare's formal education took place in Venezuela where she studied civil engineering at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
