Fall 2017 Film and Discussion Night

Picture of SASW Film NightThe Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work present their Fall 2017 Film and Discussion Night, Wednesday, November 1st from 5:30- 8:00 p.m., in Nursing 113, showing the timely film, Welcome to Leith.

PBS.org describes the film as a chronicle of "the attempted takeover of a small town in North Dakota by notorious white supremacist Craig Cobb. As his behavior becomes more threatening, tensions soar and residents desperately look for ways to expel their unwanted neighbor. An unsettling exploration of what happens to democratic principles when they're pushed to the limit, the film asks us to consider how in a free society we confront people whose views we find abhorrent." A discussion will follow and pizza will be served. Please R.S.V.P. by Tuesday October 31st, to Nancy Hall, at nancy.hall@shu.edu or (973) 761-9170.
