The College of Arts and Sciences is hosting its Second Annual Civic Engagement Boot Camp, an enriching program available to all College of Arts and Sciences rising juniors and seniors. It's a four-day workshop, taking place from Tuesday, June 4th to Friday, June 7th, that is geared to students who are pursuing a career that is deeply intertwined with civic works, in the public sector, governmental bodies and within nonprofits. The boot camp is fully supported by donors, alum, and the Presidential Advising Group of the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition, it is led by Seton Hall faculty, alumni, and friends.

Each day begins with a continental breakfast and concludes with a dinner held at a restaurant in South Orange. The last day of the boot camp is a field experience visit to a local business, non-profit, or government organization.

Keynote speakers from last year's Civic Engagement Boot Camp include Hon. F. Michael Giles, Dr. Matt Hale, Dr. Roseanne Marie Mirabella, and Mr. Mark Goldsack, Esq. The field experience was at the Trenton State House.

The boot camp gives students the opportunity to see what they can do with the education they are receiving. It might open their eyes to something they didn't know existed or can achieve.

If interested, contact Dr. Kaiser at kaiserch@shu.edu or stop by the Dean's Office in Fahy room 130 for an application. Applications are due April 2nd.
