The purposes of this paper are first, to describe one teaching strategy "Mind Mapping Learning Technique (MMLT)"; second, to provide an understanding of how the MMLT is used to promote critical thinking skills in graduate students; and finally, to assess students perceptions regarding the use of the mind mapping learning technique as a tool to enable them to better organize, prioritize and integrate material presented in a course.
