I believe in promoting cultural competence, primary care and encourage students to work in medically under-served areas.
I have been a Physician Assistant (PA) for the past 13 years. I graduated from the UMDNJ PA program. Straight from PA school I worked in the Department of Family Medicine at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center and held the rank of Assistant Professor. While I was in the Department of Family Medicine, I worked in an under-served clinic for the uninsured and under-insured for 11 years. I am passionate about serving the uninsured and mentor students to work in uninsured areas. I am interested in Health care disparities and providing culturally competent health care. My other love is of Women's Health and preventive medicine. For the past two years I have worked in Primary care at Alps Family Physicians in Wayne, NJ, and I continue to practice there one day per week. I am active in the Physician Assistant Foundation.
