Thomas A. Basilo, CPA
Tom Basilo is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Management. He teaches a graduate course, BMGT 7540 Entrepreneurship, on Tuesday evenings during the Fall semester.
Professor Basilo has nearly 40 years of business experience assisting family-owned and closely-held businesses manage growth, cash flow and organizational restructuring. He is a CPA licensed in NJ, NY and CT and is the author of numerous articles on matters impacting middle market companies. Professor Basilo is the Office Managing Partner of WithumSmith+Brown's (WS+B) Morristown location and CEO of WS+B Global Assurance, a division of WS+B he co-founded in 2005. Professor Basilo is a 1971 graduate of the Stillman School of Business. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Advisors to the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and has been honored by SHU's Stillman School of Business with the Many Are One Service Award in recognition of his contributions to the entrepreneurial community and by SHU's chapters of Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi.
Brian Fitzpatrick, M.B.A.
Brian Fitzpatrick is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Management. He teaches a graduate course BMGT 7544 Growing A Small Business. The course meets Tuesday evenings during the Spring semester.
Professor Fitzpatrick is President and CEO of Bentley Laboratories in Edison, N.J. Over a 30 year career, Professor Fitzpatrick has earned a reputation of a tough-minded entrepreneur specializing in restructuring ailing companies. He has presided over the rapid growth of Bentley Laboratories, a formulating and outsourcing manufacturing firm serving the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Professor Fitzpatrick has also served as president and CEO of several other companies, where he successfully implemented a broad range of strategic reengineering initiatives that led to their significant growth. Professor Fitzpatrick serves on the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Board of Advisors and is a member of the Alumni Board of Directors.
