Public Relations Program Goals:
- Provide students with a theoretical framework to understand the strategic and tactical roles of public relations, including the identifying of publics and stakeholders.
- Ensure students understand the ethical expectations and challenges related to Public Relations activities.
- Develop critical awareness and a holistic understanding of the role public relations plays in society.
- Equip students with the knowledge and tools to effectively plan, execute and measure public relations programs and campaigns
B.A., Journalism and Public Relations
Journalism and Public Relations majors develop professional skills in a framework that emphasizes ethical, responsible communication. The Master of Arts in Public Relations is an on-campus program that combines the curricula and resources of the College of Communication and the Arts. Focused on the theories and skills required in reputation management and effective public relations, students are challenged to evaluate cases, create campaigns, and expand their skills and knowledge as relates to the field.
