The Senior Associate Provost reports directly to the Provost and co-facilitates the administration of academic programs and management of the Division of Academic Affairs. In collaboration with the University’s schools and colleges, the Senior Associate Provost develops policies that support academic excellence, guides the University’s academic and strategic plan initiatives, and supports the Catholic mission. The Office of International Programs and the Office of Grants and Research Services report to the Senior Associate Provost.

The Associate Vice Provost reports directly to the Provost and oversees the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies which is comprised of the Department of the Core and the Department of Catholic Studies. He is also responsible for the Center for Catholic Studies and all other academic institutes and centers which focus particularly on aspects of the university's Catholic mission. As Minister to the Priest Community, reports to the President and oversees the needs of the Priest Community at Seton Hall.

The Associate Provost for Academic Projects manages projects primarily related to the School of Medicine, the development of the new Health and Medical Sciences campus in Nutley and Clifton. He also provides counsel to the Provost on other matters, including issues related to technology and intellectual property.

The Associate Provost for Academic Affairs promotes the operational efficiency, compliance and reporting infrastructures in the Office of the Provost. Dr. Cuccia provides leadership for the University's graduate education initiatives and enrollment. In addition, he oversees the Office of Institutional research, is responsible for administering the Provost's Initiatives for Summer Session, and works with the administrators and faculty of the various schools and colleges to promote credit bearing programs. Dr. Cuccia also provides effective coordination and communication, to both internal and external constituencies regarding various matters in Academic Affairs, in particular in promulgation of the Strategic Plan.

The Assistant Provost for Assessment is responsible for the University's academic and administrative assessment efforts. She collaborates with deans, department chairs, faculty and administrators to develop and refine principles/guidelines for planning, reporting and creating quality program and educational objectives. The Assistant Provost for Assessment directs the University Assessment Steering Committee, and co-directs the University Assessment Center.

The Director of Academic Events, Initiatives and Planning reports to and provides high-level administrative support to the university's chief academic officer. The Director of Academic Events, Initiatives and Planning, manages, plans and executes academic events and plays a critical role in helping to advance academic initiatives and projects, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and foster collaboration and coordination among the administrative staff of the Provost's and President's office.

The Administrative Assistant to the Provost and Executive Vice President assists in performing day-to-day operations of the office and is responsible for planning and strategizing for upcoming meetings and events. The administrative assistant is the point-of-contact for the Provost and manages the Provost's calendar and correspondence.

Special Projects Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Senior Associate Provost

This position provides high level administrative support to the Senior Associate Provost and facilitates the overall efficiency of the Office of the Provost by planning and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events. Maintains the Senior Associate Provost's calendar and performs special projects including research and data-analysis. The Special Projects Coordinator serves as senior editor and designer of University catalogues both in print and online.

Administrative Assistant to the Associate Provost for Finance and Administration

The Administrative Assistant to the Associate Provost for Finance and Administration coordinates day-to-day operations of the office and provides support to all of the academic financial administrators. She reviews and processes all academic disbursement and determines the accuracy of all academic personnel assignments and payroll authorizations. She facilitates the faculty hiring process and assists in the administration of the Graduate Assistant Program.

The Special Projects Coordinator provides administrative support to the Associate Provost of Academic Affairs, the Associate Provost for Academic Projects and the Associate Provost and Dean for Research. This position entails coordinating meetings, conference room scheduling, the tracking and reporting of course enrollment under the Provost’s Summer Initiative, the reporting of program announcements, the processing of invoices related to marketing for graduate studies and invoices related to faculty development. The Special Projects Coordinator also collaborates with the Senior Associate Provost in organizing the process related to newly hired faculty. In addition, this role assists in the organization of academic events sponsored by the Office of the Provost as well as assisting with other projects assigned.
