Nelida Arancibia, M.S.W.

Faculty Associate of Social Work, Field Director
Department of Sociology Anthropology and Social Work

I have been at Seton Hall University teaching Introduction to Social Work, Children and Youth in Society, Senior Practicum I and II , and Introduction to Helping Skills since September 2008.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am the Director of Field Education and I am responsible for planning and coordinating students' internships. I also serve as Coordinator of the Certificate in Children and Family Services offered by the Department of Social Work. I serve as adviser for our Social Work Students Organization; an entity that is integrated with our total curriculum and dedicated to service and justice. My interests are: child welfare, diversity and social justice. I am licensed as a clinical social worker and my professional experiences as a psychotherapist have focused on children and trauma.
