Deborah A. Kurus, Assistant to the Rector/Dean and Vice Rector, began working for the Seminary in March 2006 as the Secretary for the Institute for Christian Spirituality and Editor for the Institute’s newsletter, Stirrings. In November 2009, she became Secretary for Academics and Administration for the Seminary, working in that position until she was promoted to Assistant to the Rector/Dean and Vice Rector in 2013. Debbie works closely with Monsignor Gerard H. McCarren, Rector/Dean, and Father Robert K. Suszko, Vice Rector/Business Manager. Her previous work experience includes work as a cash applicator in the medical field and as an office manager in the retail field. Prior to serving in these positions, she was an account coordinator in the field of advertising for more than 10 years. Debbie attended Roberts-Walsh Business School, and she later earned an associate’s degree in Office Systems Technology from Union County College.
