A member of the Formation Faculty, Monsignor Kulig received a B.A. in Classical Languages and an M.A. in Secondary Education from Seton Hall University. Ordained in May 1961, he spent the first nine years of his priesthood at St. Patrick Parish, Elizabeth, NJ. Following this assignment, he served at Seton Hall Preparatory School, where he spent nine years, first in the classroom, then as Dean of Men and then as Assistant Headmaster for Development. Following these responsibilities, Monsignor Kulig was assigned to Seton Hall University as Director of Alumni. Later, he served as Assistant Dean in the Freshmen Studies Office, as Director of Campus Ministry and as Spiritual Director, St. Andrew's College Seminary. After these assignments, he served as pastor of Mount Carmel Parish, Bayonne, NJ for nine years. In 2005, Monsignor Kulig was assigned to Immaculate Conception Seminary. He was invested in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem at St. Patrick's Cathedral in September 2006. In Spring 2009, he was honored by Pope Benedict XVI as a Prelate of Honor to His Holiness with the title of Reverend Monsignor.
