Summer 2009
Monsignor Robert Sheeran announces he will step down from the presidency in June 2010.
Kurt Borowsky, Chairman of the Board of Regents, appoints Joseph LaSala chair of the Presidential Search and Screen Committee and Francis Lazarus vice chair.
The University begins requesting input from the community on leadership qualities and characteristics they would like to see in our new president.
The University researches search firms and selects Isaacson Miller.
Fall 2009
The Presidential Search and Screen Committee is appointed and includes members representing all constituencies of the University. The committee's first meeting is in early September. The committee prepared the Presidential Position Profile, and will meet on a regular basis to review resumes and interview candidates.
Early Spring 2010
The Presidential Search and Screen Committee will recommend semi-finalists for on-campus interviews and meetings with the University community, providing the community an additional opportunity to have input in the selection process.
A slate of finalists will be submitted to the Board of Regents for final selection.
Late Spring 2010
The 20th president of Seton Hall University is selected and announced.
