Presidential Search Update October 24, 2018
On October 3, I was happy to inform you that the Presidential Search Committee had been duly constituted and that Storbeck/Pimentel had been selected as the search firm to assist the Committee in its work. Since then, the leadership of the Committee has been working with Storbeck/Pimentel to develop a plan for the search process.
The Storbeck/Pimentel team will be visiting campus on Monday, November 12 to gather information for the development of the leadership profile for the next President.
The Storbeck/Pimentel consultants will speak to a few specific constituencies such as deans and the Priest Community, and they will hold open forum discussions for the following: the faculty, students, and staff.
The forums will take place as follows:
Monday, November 12, 2017
- Staff: 12:45-1:45 p.m., University Center, Main Lounge
- Students: 1:45-2:45 p.m., University Center, Main Lounge
- Faculty: 2:45-3:45 p.m., University Center, Main Lounge
Please note the times and places of these open forums and plan to attend the appropriate forum.
The aforementioned specific constituencies will receive email invitations providing the time and place of each meeting from the Office of Board Affairs.
As you plan to meet with the search consultants, please ponder these questions: What are the points of attraction for the position? What makes Seton Hall University distinctive? What opportunities and challenges will the next President address? What background, skill sets and personal attributes will the candidate of choice likely possess?
It is my sincere hope that the members of the University community will assist Storbeck/Pimentel and ultimately our Search Committee in finding the best President for Seton Hall.
