In light of the recent events at Virginia Tech University, alerting students quickly about a potential threat and delivering clear instructions for action can help ensure an effective and safe response. The need to quickly disseminate relevant information through multiple means has become increasingly important.
In addition to desktop computers, laptops, wired phones, and e-mail alerts, the University now offers the opportunity to receive mobile text message alerts. Please encourage your son or daughter to take 30 seconds to sign up.
