PirateNet Portal

PirateNet is the University's portal environment, providing access to various online services, and both instructional and administrative systems.  Access to PirateNet is enabled through the account generation process.

PirateNet Features

  • For students, PirateNet is the gateway through which they access their e-mail, their Blackboard courses and the Banner administrative system where they can register for classes, access their grades, pay their tuition,  and add money (Pirate's Gold) to their ID cards.

Signing in to PirateNet also gives the University community access to various Microsoft Live features, such as the Office Live Workspace, Sky Drive and Spaces [My Info tab, the Microsoft Live Resources module].  The CTC provides training on these features in its Windows 7 class.

  • Office Live Workspace: an online place to save, access, and share documents from anywhere.
  • SkyDrive: free file storage (25GB) accessible from any online PC or Web-enabled mobile device.
  • Spaces: customize your own space on Windows Live with dozens of themes and modules.

Please Note:
Some corporate firewalls may disable the single sign-on capability within the PirateNet portal, resulting in a screen asking for a UserID and PIN.  You should not see this screen and you should not input any credentials, as doing so will disable your account.  Please check with the Service Desk for the latest information.
