 Browser Temporary File Deletion 

 

Internet Explorer

  1. Within Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or 10 click the “gear icon” in the upper right hand corner of window then from the menu select “Internet Options”.

  2. On the General tab click the button for “Delete …”
  3. Within “Delete Browsing History” window check off all boxes with the exception of “Preserve Favorites website data” and then hit the “Delete” button in lower right hand corner.
  4. Once deletion is complete close browser, re-­‐open browser and attempt website access again.

Firefox

File Deletion – No Menu Bar:

  1. Firefox (menu) – History – “Clear Recent History …”

  2. Set the “Time range to clear” to “Everything”, check off all boxes that are available and then hit the “Clear Now” button.
  3. Once deletion is complete close browser, re-­‐open browser and attempt website access again.

File Deletion – Menu Bar/Apple Macintosh:

  1. History menu – “Clear Recent History …”
  2. Set the “Time range to clear” to “Everything”, check off all boxes that are available and then hit the “Clear Now” button.
  3. Once deletion is complete close browser, re-­‐open browser and attempt website access again.

Chrome

  1. Click on the “three vertical bars” button in the upper right hand corner of browser and from the menu select “History”.

  2. On the History tab hit the button for “Clear browsing data …”
  3. In the new window set the “Obliterate the following items from:” option to the “the beginning of time” selection, check off all of the boxes and hit the button for “Clear browsing data”.
  4. Once deletion is complete close browser, re-­‐open browser and attempt website access again.

Safari

Based upon how the operating system the process will vary.

Windows O/S:

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select “Reset Safari …”
  2. Check off all boxes in window and hit the “Reset” button.
  3. Upon browser re-­‐launch attempt website access again.

Apple Macintosh:

  1. Go to the Safari menu and select “Reset Safari …”
  2. Check off all boxes in window and hit the “Reset” button.
  3. Upon browser re-­‐launch attempt website access again.
