Instant messaging and Lync online:
Use Microsoft Lync Online for both instant messaging and online meetings. In addition you may chat with your contact from within Outlook Web Access:
Lync Online: With Office 2013 you may access Lync by using the Lync 2013 Application by signing in with your Email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) and current PirateNet Password.
Windows 8 Lync Application for the Modern IU:
Note: You must use a valid Microsoft Account that has access to download apps from the Microsoft App Store.

You can create a Microsoft Account ID that is the same as your email address, you will have to go to your mailbox and verify the new Microsoft account.
You can download the windows 8 Lync app and then sign in with your;
Seton Hall Email Address (Office365 Organization ID) (email@example.com) and current PirateNet password.
