Changes to Your Seton Hall Account

What's Happening?

In an effort to protect your identity and the University's data, the Department of Information Technology will implement password expiration rules and strong password requirements for students, faculty and employees.

  • Student and faculty passwords will expire every 180 days.
  • Employee passwords will expire every 90 days.

Passwords must meet "strong" password requirements, as defined in the existing policy.

 

Self-Service Passwords

In order to insure that everyone has access to the University's information resources, we have set up the Self-Service Password Manager that enables you to change or reset your password.  Using a set of personal challenge questions, you will be able to visit the Self-Service Password Manager to change your password, or to reset it in case you forgot it or were locked out.   Challenge questions will confirm your identity when changing your password online using the Self-Service Password Manager. You will need to pick 4 questions from a predetermined list and provide answers only you know. For example, the answer to "What street did you grow up on?" or "What was your first pet's name?" or "Who was your favorite teacher?"
