The Department of Information Technology provides the services and resources to support the successful integration and effective use of technology at Seton Hall University. Seton Hall is a ubiquitous computing environment which means that technology is infused in all aspects of campus life from academics and administration to student activities and staying in touch with family and friends.
Our Organization
In order to support this environment, DoIT has put into place an extensive network of support services available to administrators, faculty, staff and students.
Reporting and Statistics
One of the primary objectives of the Department of Information Technology is to stay on the cutting edge of technology and to find innovative ways to bring that technology to the the SHU community. The following reports outline what we have been doing and where we are headed.
News and Announcements
DoIT maintains two separate blogs for communicating with the SHU community. The blogs are used to post updates, announcements and upcoming events. The IT Management Blog provides news and announcements from the SHU IT Management Team. The ePirate TLTC Blog focuses on exploring teaching and learning in the 21st century. Click on one of the blogs below to learn more about the Department of Information Technology.
Hours of Operation
Understanding that learning does not end when class lets out, DoIT maintains extended hours of operation so that support services are available when they are needed most. The hours of operation will change during various times of the year, extending support hours during peak times and reducing support hours when classes are not in session. Click here to view the current Hours of Operation.
DoIT also has scheduled weekly down time when maintenance is performed on all of the core systems. The schedule maintenance window is Sundays staring at 12:00 AM and ending at 8:00 AM.
