CTC Request a One on One Session
The Request a One on One session policy sets forth the guidelines for requesting a one-on-one training session with the Computer Training Classroom. The Computer Training Classroom (CTC) currently offers a wide variety of beginner and intermediate classes on all of the SHU standard software packages.
Patrons are encouraged to register for one of the group classes offered if they are interested in receiving training on any of the standard software packages. However, there are some patrons who need training on more advanced features of a particular software package. As a result, the CTC offers one-on-one training sessions for such patrons.
- One-On-One sessions are available for all faculty, students, and staff at Seton Hall University.
- The purpose of these sessions is to explore more advanced areas of the software supported at SHU.
- Beginner and Intermediate software users are encouraged to attend one of the many scheduled classes held in the CTC Classroom during the semester.
- To make a request for a one-on-one session, please e-mail training@shu.edu. Included the following information in your request:
-
- Provide multiple dates and times when you are available to make it easier to schedule.
- State the specific areas of the software you wish to explore. This allows us to do research in advance to better serve you.
- Please note that we may open the session up to other users who wish to explore the same subject areas. We will usually limit the number of seats according to the subject matter being covered in the session.
- Priority scheduling is given to the CTC class schedule. One-on-one sessions will be scheduled around the CTC class schedule.
