Healthcare Services Provided
All registered and matriculated students (residential and commuters)
are entitled to receive care at Health
Services. There is no charge for office visits, but there may
be expenses associated with your visit such as medications and outside
laboratory testing.
Prerequisites:
To be a registered and matriculated student (residential and
commuters).
Process:
Students seeking health care services may call to make an
appointment at (973) 761-9175. Our office is located at 303 Centre
Street, diagonally across the
street from main gate.
Health Services provides the following services:
- Allergy Desensitization Injections
According to a schedule and with the allergens provided by your private
health practitioner
- Dermatology
Routine skin disorders
- Urgent Services
First aid and crisis intervention
- General Primary Care
Common health problems including upper respiratory tract infections,
sexually transmitted diseases, minor injuries; chronic health problems
such as asthma and diabetes.
- Gynecology/Women's Health Care
Pelvic and breast examination; Women’s health care issues.
Comprehensive diagnostic testing for sexually transmitted diseases
- Health Education
Self-care health maintenance
- Immunizations
N.J. State and University required and recommended pre-matriculation
requirements; University related foreign travel
- Laboratory Services
Routine diagnostic procedures on site with outside laboratory access
- Mental Health
Crisis intervention
- Men's Health Care
Clinical testicular examinations. Comprehensive diagnostic testing for
sexually transmitted diseases.
- Referrals
Outside medical specialists and radiologists as necessary
- Sports Medicine
Evaluation and management of sport-related conditions
