Policy Description

All IT equipment purchased by the University is distributed with a standard software image. Each image contains all of the University standard software. Versions of the software will vary based on the version that was available at the time that the equipment was rolled out to the University. The University will attempt to install the most current version of the software that is available at the time that the image is created.
 
The following is a list of the standard software applications that are installed on all of the IT issued equipment.

Each model of equipment has an image created that is specific to that model as well as the segment of the SHU community that will be using it. In addition to the university standard software applications, additional software may also be installed such as CDRW burning software, Adobe Acrobat reader and other plug-ins that will assist with the use of the equipment.
