Policy Description

Computer Workstation Area
There are 20 computer workstations and 2 black and white printers in Fahy 202. Each workstation has:

• Microsoft Office 2007
• Microsoft Office Multi-Language Proofing tools (Spell-check and Thesaurus in 37 languages)
• Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Russian and Italian keyboards installed
• Internet access
• Video recording and editing software (Pinnacle Studio)
• Voice recording and editing software (Audacity)
• Photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop Elements)
• Photostory 3 (digital storytelling software)
• VCR/DVD combination player
• Headphones and microphones
• Dialang (self - diagnostic testing software)
• French and Spanish phonetic and pronunciation applications (from CLEAR - Michigan State)
• Pronunciación y fonética
• La phonétique française
  
• Second Life
• Skype and Pamela for Skype (synchronous online chat and VOIP)
  

 
Please note the change in the University's Printing Policy. This change applies to the two printers in the Language Resource Center.

When not in use by a class or for a language learning related task, the workstations are open to the Seton Hall community.

Note: No food or drink allowed in the Language Resource Center workstation area (Fahy 202/203C)
