Any student who wants to live in University housing must use this online housing application to request a room.

Before You Apply

• Make Your Housing Deposit. You must make your housing deposit before your application will be processed.
  
• Availability is Limited. Housing is in great demand, so apply early. We reserve 850 spaces for new students. Returning students must meet all deadlines and requirements (priority points) to qualify for a space.
  

When You Apply

• SHU ID. You will need your ID number, which can be found on the back of your ID Card or in your acceptance letter.
  
• Starting Semester. To apply for full-year housing, select Fall 2010. To apply for the spring semester only, choose Spring 2010.
• Special Accommodations. If you need ADA accommodations, your housing application will be held until your request has been reviewed by Disability Support Services.
• Meal Plans. All housing applicants must select a meal plan. You can change your plan after you learn of your room selection. Learn about meal plan options and rates.
  

After You Apply

• Room Assignments. Your residence hall or apartment and your roommate(s) will be confirmed to you in July.
  
• Billing Questions. Read the overview of housing billing, deposits and refunds.
• Cancel Your Application. If you decide to cancel your application, send your Housing cancellation form to shuhousing@shu.edu or fax it to (973) 761-9482.
