Seton Hall's Freshman Studies program traces its genesis back to 1987. For 21 years now, the University has been welcoming its first -year students to campus through its Freshman Studies program. This program is designed to assist first-year college students in clarifying their academic and career goals. This program also helps students master two other important tasks for college success: adjusting to life on a college campus and developing a social network. Freshman Studies uses three program elements to assist with these tasks. These elements are the academic adviser/mentor, the peer adviser and the University Life course.
